The following is the lastest information we have on frequency changes and additions the information comes from Citywide Car 15 Keith Victor unless otherwise noted. You can email Keith with any questions you have regarding the information.

Changes in the Town of East Windsor, CT both fire departments Broad Brook and Warehouse Point will be switching over to UHF repeaters, they are:
Broad Brook 453.5875 MHz PL 156.7
Warehouse Point 453.3375 MHz PL 151.4
I was also advised that the entire town will be going to a UHF trunking system.
In addition South Windsor Fire is now operational on the Hartford Intercity Fire Network 154.265 Mhz.
Winsted Fire Department over to their newly assigned frequencies. Please make note of the changes: 154.205/150.775 Mhz PL 210.7 under a new callsign WPLV 820.

Here is some information which those that monitor or work with the three departments in Palmer, MA.
Fire Dispatch: 159.345/151.445 Mhz PL 167.9
Fire Dispatch 2 154.385/156.060 Mhz DPL 723

Bradley International Airport CFR has instituted a new Fireground channel of 453.7125 Mhz with a PL of 141.3, which is now used quite a bit. Pleas make the necessary additions to your frequency listings. The callsign is WPQH 392.

Wilton Fire has coordinated 460.2625 Mhz as a full repeater keep and ear out and advise on the PL of the system.

For those of you that monitor Rhode Island the following departments have switched and added VHF repeaters to their operations:
Westerly, RI 154.160/150.805 MHz DPL205 (Downtown)
Westerly,RI 154.130 MHz DPL205 Fireground
Westerly,RI 151.0625/159.1875 MHz 127.3 Rest of the districts
Hopkinton,RI 154.4075/155.9925 MHz 127.3

A new antenna has been placed atop WCCC Radios' tower on Avon Mountain, on this date. The antenna is for the 154.265 MHz PL 107.2 and is Cross-Band to the 859.3875 MHz PL 167.9. For those that wish to listen to Hartford Intercity I would suggest using the 800 MHz as you will hear all transmissions from portables and mobiles from BOTH the VHF and UHF sides. This was tested today and the VHF can be heard as far as Waterbury and Winsted.

The following communities have been cleared by the coordinator for the new frequencies:
Bridgeport, CT Fire 154.415 MHz PL will not be the present due to 156.7 is used by Suffolk County Long Island
Clinton, MA Fire 154.310/159.255 PL-82.5 a new repeater on the water tank

Town of Bloomfield, CT 400 Mhz Trunked system: WPTU 593: 452.250 MHz; 453.2625 Mhz; 453.400 Mhz; 453.6625 Mhz; 453.825 Mhz; 460.050 Mhz; 460.2125 Mhz; and 460.4625 Mhz. 151.220 will be utilized for paging the fire/ems under callsign WNNI 513

Litchfield County Fire Dispatch has placed a new repeater in service, to be called the INTERCOUNTY channel on 155.0925/158.4225 Mhz DPL 465 under WPLT 616. This will complete all of the new county 12.5 channels.

The Suffield, CT fire department is on a repeater on 156.075 Mhz with 158.940 Mhz most likely the PL will be 141.3.

Hebron Fire has begun to use the 460.775 Mhz repeater PL 74.4 for some operations. All of the departments UHF portables are now on the repeater and they can be identified by "10" which is the Tolland County designation for Hebron Fire.

The following new frequencies have been cleared by the coordinators and are presently at the FCC for finalization. These frequencies may already be in service since the ten day rule is in effect: Blue Hills Fire, Bloomfield 151.220 Mhz, Cromwell Fire 159.315/151.235 (Repeater), Wilton Police 453.2625 (repeater) and 460.4125 (Repeater). Anyone knowing the PL's of these new frequencies please advise.

Please note that the Guilford,CT Fire will be switching to a full repeater on 460.6125 Mhz with 460.6375 and 465.6375 Mhz as Fireground. Would appreciate advising on what PL or DPL they are going to use.

The new State DEP HAZMAT channel is now in service on 172.275 MHz with a PL of 114.8. These are the same radios that were originally on 151.475 Mhz. There is NO BASE stations on this frequency it is used as a cross band to the DEP 44 MHz channel.

Be advised that the UCONN Fire Department in Storrs now is fully operational on 453.400 Mhz PL 167.9 which was the old PD channel. They can be heard very good throughout the Hartford area.

Please be advised that I have just learned that in the Town of Groton, CT at the Mystic Marriott Hotel they have a repeater setup on 159.420 with 151.460 MHz with a PL of 156.7 as it is known as Tac 8 in the townwide fire frequency listing

The Manchester 8th District Fire Department, one of the two departments in Manchester, CT, has placed a cross band repeater in service in 154.220 Mhz NO PL which copies all of their transmissions on their 856.7125 Mhz PL-179.9. Please mark your frequency guides accordingly.

Listed below are the new Litchfield (LCD) County Fire Radio Frequencies that have been applied for:
155.0925 Mhz
155.1075 Mhz
155.1225 Mhz
155.8125 Mhz
155.8275 Mhz
156.0075 Mhz
157.450 Mhz-This will be the page out frequency
Transites will be located in Kent, Litchfield, Harwinton, Torrington, New Milford, Cornwall, Sharon, New Hartford, North Canaan, and Colebrook. Please keep and ear on these frequencies and remember that they are the 12.5 split so you may hear the channels on either side. PL all channels is 82.5

The Town of East Haven Fire Department has applied for 453/458.5625 Mhz as a repeater dispatch frequency is 453/458.9625 as Fireground channels. At present I believe that they are using PL 151.4 all of this will be under their KNFM 255 license.

The Town of Hamden Police Department has taken over the City of Waterbury's two UHF channels for the Police Department. 460.025 and 460.225 Mhz are the two UHF repeaters which will most likely use 110.9 as a PL since that the most common in the New Haven area.

The West Hartford Fire Department is going to move its InterCity Base, 154.265 Mhz (PL 107.2) to the WCCC site on Avon Mountain with the cross patch to 859.3875 MHz (PL 167.9) which will give better coverage for those departments switching to 800 Mhz.

Likewise the InterCity Tactical Repeater of 153.140 Mhz (PL 94.8) will also be located at the same site for much better coverage since the tower in Newington was destroyed by the mini tornado.

Be advised that LCD (Litchfield County Dispatch) will be adding PL both TX and RX on 33.700 Mhz on or before the end of the year. The PL is 107.2 so make that correction to those departments that operate on 33.700 Mhz in Litchfield County.
